I went for lunch on a weekday and left curious about dinner/celebration on a weekend. Ambiance reminds me of the typical bars you find in Wynwood. Chill, quirky, hipster and relaxed. The bar is fully stocked with several alcoholic options for all tastes. The food wasn't my favorite part but not bad at all. I had the pork belly taco and the...gosh I can't remember the other one, looks like the pork belly took center stage from this duo... I like that they have several daily "specials/deals" beyond the widely used Happy Hour format found everywhere else. And the girl at the bar was very friendly and knowledgable about the place she works for which is definitely a good sign... I definitely put this place down in my list of Friday-night-things-to-do list...

I'm definitely a fan of this place... Came in to try their esteemed tacos, and they didn't disappoint. I went a little crazy and ordered 4 because I just wanted to try them all. the grilled mahi mahi was a bit dry and flavorless, but not bad with a little hot sauce. The chicken taco and the ground beef taco are both very good, generous portion of meat so I was full after these but then I tried the roasted pulled pork and I could not stop eating. This last one was the best in my opinion. Great experience overall, probably will come back and try the few I missed out on because I was too full. Cheers!

Came in last night an hour before closing. Something I hate to do but I really didn't want to hit up the other burger joint nearby. We sat at the bar and our bartender was really great! She didn't seem annoyed or anything, she was actually very helpful and patient as I read through all of the cocktails on the menu. They have a humongous selection of Whiskey lined up all behind the bar. That along with tons of other alcohol options. I opted for the BTW Old Fashioned and my bf had the Spicy Serrano-Rita. They were delicious. We ended up ordering the pulled pork nachos for appetizer which were amazing, and also ordered the swine burgers. The burger was really great and the thick cut bacon was to die for. I absolutely love this place and I will definitely recommend it to all my friends!

I missed most of the Elite Event because of that thing called W.o.r.k. and I95 traffic. Cassie was kind enough to let me in, and in sampling the chicken tacos and cinnamon chips, my prayers to the Yelp Gods were answered. BTW has the essential food groups for a dude: Burgers, Tacos and Whiskey. After a short wait while they transitioned from Yelp event to full dinner, my waitress Shantel(sp?) came by to take my order, and keep my iced tea refills coming promptly. Based on what I sampled at the event, I went with their burger and a chicken burrito. Yes, I will be coming back for the whiskey! Said Swine Burger (yes, as in Carnivore Heaven Swine) consisted of two juicy, sizeable pieces of beef, melted American Cheese and Miami Smokers' Bacon. Hungry yet? They even took out the pickles to please my OCD tendencies and brought out BBQ sauce for me to dip the handcut fries. As they say in the old country, I ordered with my eyes and not my appetite, and could not even start the chicken burrito I ordered. No matter, manager Will had it wrapped up and my lunch the next day was much better than the chain restaurant fare near my office park. I enjoyed a two-hand size marinated chicken burrito (minus guacamole, yes they customized that out for me too!) and cilantro for lunch. WIth the portion size and friendly service, there's no way I couldn't give BTW 5 stars!

As a fellow Yelper said below, what happened? I came in yesterday and was excited to show my boyfriend BTW. (Note: It was second choice after we learned Yardbird was closed for a private event.) Long story short, the service was great, so I'm happy they've stepped up their game in that sense, but the food was lacking. We sat down and ordered the chips+salsa (good but spicy!), four tacos (chicken, pork & two beef) and the Tijuana dog (w/ the $2 tall boy on Wednesdays). The tacos were boring and bland. I was pretty disappointed being a huge fan of tacos. The boyfriend and I agreed that the beef tacos tasted like ground beef from anywhere. Nothing distinguishable. My boyfriend did like his pork taco, so I was happy to hear that. When the Tijuana dog came, I was excited, but it quickly escaped when I noticed how skinny it was. Not to mention, my first comment was that it looked like it was thrown in the microwave. Regardless, we consumed it and it tasted fine. Again, nothing memorable. The bill came out to $37 and some change. Not worth it. I don't think I'll be coming back after this experience. The flies everywhere made the dining experience an unpleasant one and the food wasn't anything memorable.

As soon as I got there I had to pay for my food upfront. Almost feels like they didn't trust me to pay for my food when I'm done eating. I ordered the chips and salsa salsa was OK it took a second to get used to it's not ordinary. I did get this one burger ordered it medium rare came out well done but looked amazing. Maybe because if it was well done I couldn't really get into the taste so I would say was just OK. I would try this place again to give them a second chance

Their Swine Burger is an experience not to be taken lightly. This baby has a double patty made with their own special house blend, american cheese, dill pickles, special sauce, and thick-cut Miami Smokers bacon. I've had the Swine Burger at their sister restaurant, Swine Southern in Coral Gables, and the flavors of the BTW version were on point. I don't know if it's the thick-cut bacon or their special house blend patty, but this is one great burger. It's one of my favorites, actually. Order on Thursdays for takeout and you can get your complete order for 25% off.

Great hangover food. Greasy, tasty and goes down smooth. I devoured my burger and fries no problem. I would order the baconless version next time. Its a bit much for something so yummy on its own. Fries were crispy and plentiful. Great drink specials for Miami Beach. Super cute set-up. Bartender was great!

They don't have the blat burger anymore which is disappointing because it was so good the last time I came :(. We came this time and did bogo tacos and the pricing is great and the tacos were good too. They don't have waiters anymore, it's self serve now. I always come when it's empty so it's never been a problem either way. My suggestion is to come for the bogo tacos on a Tuesday or try one of their other burgers. I can't vouch for the new ones now though.

Burger Taco Whiskey is not only a great name and concept but the food and service were also on point. Given we came on a Sunday night there wasn't a wait which is always a bonus, especially for a new hot spot. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The menu is pretty straight forward. Not only are there the obvious burgers and tacos, they also have burritos, side dishes (elote type corn dish) and salads. They also have a full bar so if whiskey isn't your forte, you're covered. To start we ordered the queso fundido which was gooey and delicious. I also love that they have a mezcal drink (hard to find sometimes) called the Oaxacan which I highly recommend if you like smokey drinks like I do. For our entres I went all in with a pork and chorizo burrito. It was gluttonous glory. For some reason I didn't notice the special sauces that were inside the caddy on the caddy, but they are definitely worth trying. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would happily go back when we're in the area. Downside: I'm not sure if their AC was broken the night we went but it was pretty hot inside so I'd recommend waiting for outside seating.

YumYumDelishDelish! Initially visited with R.R.M and another friend. Talk about home run! Firstly, management/ service are fantastic. It took us awhile to decide what we wanted. Our sever was friendly, helpful and patient. After ordering our meals we feasted on chips and salsa. We od'd on those damn chips! Why are they so good? Crisp and light, not greasy at ALL. Trust me, I am a chip authority. These were fresh and so fantastic, we overdosed on chips. If you know me, you know I'm picky. Well more like I know what I like, you know? So I often need to create my meals. The folks at BTW were mellow and lovely about my ways. I ordered the taco salad, omitted several items and home run. Fannnntastic. So for you veggies, go with the RSVP salad and add or omit here and there. You won't be sorry! I love that there's a bar...the space is just mellow and inviting. And about 2 seconds from my house. I shall be a BTW groupie!

Went BTW and it was amazing the burgers where really nice, and the $2 tall boys where really good value, for a Friday night meal it's ideal even in the heat it has fans spraying must on you to keep you cool, the place is clean and the stay are happy and friendly, would highly recommend, and the fact they will deliver to you're hotel is even better, $32 for two burgers and two meals is well priced will be going back before our holiday is over

I'm sorry but it's about time LIME had to go! It used to be awesome when they opened around 2004/5. I used to love them but in the past 10 or so years they became unbearable and uneatable (at least the one on this location). I'm so happy BTW opened near my house! It's a real fresh breeze of comfort food for this area :) I don't drink whiskey but I did go there and had the American cheeseburger and taco al pastor (both very tasty) and got a free yummy Vanilla/chocolate ice cream swirl desert, which I thought was a nice touch. I sat at the bar to watch the cooks work and watch the crowd coming in...just like the place the people there (staff and customers) were young, fresh and good looking. I can't wait to go back and already told all my friends to go check BTW out. I like their name too! My mouth is watering now just by thinking about this place! Yum!!

I give this 4 stars because it's the Perfect spot to grab a quick bite. Quality is much better than any fast food (incl. Chipotle or places like that.) I like this place much more than Lime (same owners-same spot. Switched awhile back) This is my 3rd time & the tacos are my favorite. They've all been really good.

    1. Eat the burger from Swine. 2. Eat the cheaper, smaller, and not so great burger from BTW. BTW is Swine related. Both are 50 eggs Restaurants. 3. Eat the burger from Swine and don't ever cheat on them again. I tried their small burgers (not that flavorful or impressive), okay tacos, alright burritos (better than their burgers and tacos), satisfactory cocktails, and vaguely interesting vanilla and chocolate soft serve ice cream. I came to slow realization that we were at a 50 eggs "lite" concept. Light on portion sizes. Light on flavor. Light on quality. Service hit or miss. It's a cheaper version, sure. It's for those that don't want to spend Yardbird or Swine money (way better restaurants, way better food). If you like drinking this is the place to be. If you want quality food with your drinks, I suggest you go elsewhere. Server/host guy was nice. They were packed and it was a somewhat rainy night. He tried really hard to find us a table with some cover from the rain, but the parties that had finished with dinner were just chillin' and not eating anymore. Then some guy at the bar "was waiting for friends" and reserved some empty seats. First come first served, whatever fool. Eventually, we okayed a pair of circular high tops that were covered in rain overlooking the entire outdoor seating area. It had no roof cover, so we were taking a risk. The host guy made sure the tables were well wiped. We sat and waited, waited, and waited some more for a server to take our order. They totally forgot about us! How could they forget us considering we had the only toddler in the restaurant? Also, I thought that we'd be a pretty recognizable group with extreme height differences in our party. 6 foot something guy. 5 foot something guy. 4 foot something ladies. 3 foot toddler. We finally grew tired of seeing how long it would take them to notice us. 5 minutes was funny. 10 - 15 minutes was ridiculous when we were easily visible to everyone in the outdoor area. My brother (who was visiting from out of town) had to find the manager to let him know we were ready for a server. I thought I could hide the terrible Miami customer service from him, but it came out in full force during his trip.

Nice was on the beach and wanted to check out this place. I wasn't sure if I was going to be a fan to me it was hit or miss. First, it was 100 degrees outside so we sat in the bar area. I ordered the kale salad which was huge for around $10. They had three salads available that you could add protein to for an additional charge. I guess could get a little pricey for a salad, but the quality was really good. We started out with the queso dip which was so good. You can tell it is homemade and not some sauce they opened from a jar. Next got a few tacos heads up they are between $3-$4 which may seem cheap but they are small. I tried the mahi and it was excellent. Overall it is hard to get a bad meal from the 50 eggs group. This place defintely delivered !

This is a review of only 1 dining experience, not the establishment as a whole. I was excited and eager to try this gastro-taco-pub-joint mainly because it comes from the geniuses behind Yardbird and Khong. I was let down. To sum it up, it's tasty food that's way overpriced. After finding out they were out of pork belly (:O!!!) I proceeded to pay $28 for bacon nachos, corn off the cob, and a draft beer. I understand it's Miami Beach, but the portions were still too petite to justify the bill. The quality and deliciousness of the nachos was very high while the corn off the cob was average (well below Coyo's corn off the cob). With this rant behind me, I can happily say I will be back to try something else off of the fun menu, and probably pay too much for it.

Awesome Kale Salad and good tacos! Fun cocktails, chill atmosphere, beers aren't too expensive and when the winter weather comes around it'll be a great place to sit outside and enjoy dinner and drinks. Service could be a little bit more attentive.

Honestly this place doesn't deserve even a one star. Coming out of this place had to walk like 10 blocks to feel better. Second time coming to this place for Taco Tuesday and they never have anything for the tacos. The food taste horrible and service is not better. The place is horrible actually. Really recommend not to come here.

Throughly impressed with BTW! The location was recommended by the staff at Yardbirds. The restaurant group operates this location as well. The menu is short but carries some really good choices. We started out with the chips and guacamole. Nice touch with the sliced radishes on top. We ordered the Blat Burger and three fish tacos. The burger was ordered well done and that's the way it arrived. We usually have to send back at other restaurants. The tacos were full of flavor and the crispy batter was right on target. The spicy sauce was also perfect with a lime squeeze for each taco. I could have eaten more. For drinks, we selected a couple beers. I was hoping for an amber selection, but none to be had. The other beer we selected was not what we thought and replaced it with cocktail. They didn't have a blender, so no frozen drinks For dessert we tried the Vanilla Churro soft serve. Get taste and wanted more. Overall, the experience was great, the service was awesome and the beer we didn't like was removed from the final bill. Highly recommend. Let me know your thoughts.

I almost don't want to tell anyone about BTW because it only seats about 30 people and it is going to get ridiculously crowded. This concept is 50 Eggs' gift to South Beach locals. Apparently, this is where the dynasty began before they sold Lime for millions and millions of dollars. Burgers and tacos in the $4-$8 range, draft beers $5-$7, and $3 whiskey shots, all day every day! Cool staff, good music and a friendly crowd....I can see myself here every week for sure!

I ordered this for delivery through Eat24 so it might be different from eating in. The menu is not linked correctly on certain items, so the printout they get in house is different from the EAT24 order. They sent me a Veggie Burrito straight up instead of the Shrimp added one (which cost $4.00) extra. They said they would refund the $4, but we will see. Regardless, I was stuck with a Veggie Burrito. Also, we ordered the tacos and as everyone has said they were tasty but SOOOOO small. A guy would probably have to eat 6 or 7 to be full, so the only time it would be worth getting is when they are 2 for 1. The Taco salad was pretty good and I would likely get that next time I go. Still really small portion for $10 for lettuce, corn, onions, 3 half cut tomatoes, etc. Probably cost them $1.00 and they sell for $10. My guess is that with that location they will not last long at these portions/prices. It is in-between a ghetto strip mall and 7-11 with no parking that i am aware of. Overall they need to fix the glitch with Eat24, so I can not speak of a dine in experience.

It's safe to say that I'm a 50 eggs fanatic. It's also safe to say that BTW absolutely reaffirms my crazy love (or obsession). When I heard the old Lime location was being closed I was a little bummed. But when I heard what was opening in its place, my initial thoughts were "Lime who?" I went on a Saturday night and the place was packed! My friends waited about 45 minutes to get seated because the place is so tiny, but they were accommodating the whole way through. The service was fast and great. As for the food...amazing! I started with the spicy serrano-rita which was absolutely delicious. It was refreshing with a slight spicy kick at the end. We ordered the nachos with carnitas, the blat burger, al pastor taco and the carnitas taco. All of which were phenomenal! Our table was in love with everything that came out of the kitchen. So naturally, we kept asking for more tacos (and $3 shots). My favorite of the bunch though were the al pastor taco and the blat burger, especially since I'm a burger fanatic. But let me tell you, this is one GREAT burger.

Used to be a LIME restaurant basically Mexican food, tacos burritos. Same owner but different name and decor. Still sell tacos and burritos. But now they also carry burgers which I may add was pretty good. The burrito.is really worth trying. Good service very attentive service staff. Also good selection of beers.

I live 3 blocks away and I was really happy to have this cool joint nearby... I've been here very often in the last months... Tonight I was here and I found out they have no more waiters and service at the tables. I know this policy cut the labor costs a lot but I don't think it was wise decision. You have to stand up to get every thing you need and nobody checks on your table for drinks refill...just wanted to share it since I'm in the business and I found feed backs to be very helpful. Food was good!

I like this place. I'm a big hand crafted cocktail person and their old fashion is solid along with the BTW-Rita. Had the nachos with pork belly. Really good. I've had the tacos here before too. Again they were solid. Next time I come I'll give the burgers a try.

BTW is very much a bar with bar type food but with great ambience. Reading the menu everything stands out but tasting the menu hardly anything really does- except maybe the shrimp and wings. Ordered a couple different tacos too which turned out to be mega greasy and flavorless but fish tacos were good. Burritos just ok. Also, with Whiskey in the name of the establishment, I'd expect a really great old fashioned and the one I ordered was mediocre at best. My dining partner had to pull out a toothpick from his mouth after biting into his burrito, so look out for those if you order one (it somehow found its way stuffed inside with the meat since they use toothpicks to color code their food for the servers). After notifying our waitress management stepped up and spoke with all the staff about it. He comped that item off our bill which was a very nice gesture. Service for a Friday night was surprisingly good and all the staff were friendly, so they have that going for them. I thought I had stumbled upon another regular spot for me, but based on food and drinks alone I'm still debating whether or not I want to give BTW a second chance. They are relatively new kids on the block so perhaps they just need some time to tie up loose ends.

Went on opening day. Pros... Friendly staff Tasty food (not wow factor) Nice decor Good whisky choices Cons... Charge $2 extra for neat whisky pour (server then had it removed) Small portions No Carne Asada available (but on menu) I am a huge fan of Eggs Inc and I understand they are trying to cater to a different population, but I honestly think they have a few kinks to work out with this new location. They have the potential to Be as great as their other restaurants.

I attended my first yelp event here with my lerver Kim K :) The staff and management were extremely friendly and helpful. They all knew their menu knowledge inside and out. Most of the food had a little bit of spice to it which was good, even some of the drinks did too. If it wasn't spicy then it was bursting with flavor. I tried so much food but I don't remember what anything was called, all I can say is I loved everything they gave us and left stuffed! They had a really interesting chip dip you won't find anywhere else, it was a little spicy too. They had good condiments to choose from, including my personal favorite- sriracha! To drink the bar tender hooked me up with an extra strong old fashioned, that earned him a fat tip! I also had a Miami Vice beer which was 7%. I enjoyed my beer with some perfectly textured vanilla ice cream, topped with fresh home made berry marmalade. You have to try the berry marmalade! The environment was super clean and there were lots of plants in the outside area so even with the place being jam packed it was still a comforting spot, they even had a tree that was filled with cool looking caterpillars, everyone was fascinated by them and taking pictures! I was pleasantly surprised that there weren't any mosquitos or flies. BTW has only been open for 3 months now but it runs so smoothly like it has been there forever. Make sure to check out the cool photos in their bar. BTW...Born To Win! I'll definitely be bringing my family and friends to enjoy it again with me.

Man, what happened? I poked in the other day after a two month hiatus. I am a creature of habit. Usually always came in for the Chicago burger: soft bun, juicy meat, chorizo, white cheese. Oh my god it was so good I usually went for two in one sitting. They had this avocado burger that was also pretty amazing. I go in the other day and a place known for burgers now just has two options on the menu. ?!?!? My favorites got the ax. Now it's just simple bacon cheeseburgers. I should have probably given them a try but I tried the Tijuana hotdog instead: pencil thin meat, bun, Mexican cheese, pickled red onions (I asked for no onions and I somehow got them, no biggie), bacon and jalapeno. Insider tip: on the menu it doesn't mention jalapeños. If you have an allergy, you'll likely be sending your plate back. Overall, good dog, but nothing to write home about. Their new fries were awful and didn't come with the spicy garlic aioli I grew used to. Service is just there. Nothing noteworthy. It's a whiskey spot as well so this may work more for this set. I just stick to my water and coke that never gets a refill. They also serve tacos, but looking over at the plates across from me, didn't seem like I'd be perusing those anytime soon. Remember, I hail from Chicago. Our tacos shit on any Miami version. Sorry not sorry. I'll likely come back and try one of their two burger options and let you know how that goes. See you in two or three months. Bring back the Chicago!!!

Yesterday I had my first BTW experience and it was really good. It was taco tuesday so it was buy one get one free and under a college student budget it was perfect. Thw mahi mahi taco was a bit dry but the shrimp and pork tacos were delicious. Must likely i will go back for more shrimp tacos!

This was my first time at BTW and it was phenomenal. I was visiting my cousin and we walked all the way from 4th and Michigan and for those of you who know and Miami Beach Locals, that's a decent walk. I complained the whole time about how hungry I was and that it better be good. SO NOT DISAPPOINTED! Can't say that I miss Lime being here at all. We got the BTW-Rita and that was on point. The Queso Dip was absolutely amazing and the guac was so fresh it was like my mom made it for me. Our server was excellent and paid us every bit of attention. Shout out to her. We split the chicken burrito (massive burrito) and that long walk, was very much worth it. One of the best burritos I have had in a loooong time. Just the right amount of food to satisfy and nothing sits heavy or made me feel like I ate too much. I would recommend this place to anyone going to, visiting or living in Miami Beach.

I am kind of disappointed by my last two visits to BTW. Two of the female servers I had were rude, the bar took FOREVER to get our drinks out, and almost everything we ordered did not come out right. Also- menu changed and when we ordered things they came differently than described. None of this really would have phased us if the server was professional. She made us feel bad to order more items, or to ask for additional things. Seriously cute place and good food, but the downfall is the service and the amount of time the bar takes to get drinks out. They also need to add wine!!!! Huge downfall- what if people don't want beer, shots, or drinks that have 1,000 calories? If they add wine, even just a house red and white, I will definitely come here again.

I can't get enough of this place, they are constantly changing the menu which sometimes makes me sad because I can't get something I love but at the same time I fall in love with almost every choice in their menu lol. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful ! $3 gut warmers are a great party starter

Service was great, the chicken tacos were very small and were only shredded chicken with way too much guacamole. They were not good. I wish Lime was still there. Maybe other things on the menu are better here. The burgers looked pretty good, but I haven't tried them, so I can't really review them.

My sisters and I are having a lovely vacation in Miami and BTW has been the highlight of our trip! We were so appreciative of the hospitality, the amazing food and the tremendous service! We're from NY so we know good food and good hole in the wall spots; this is definitely on our top list.

First I just want to say I always feel bad when I give a place a poor review. So I decided to try BTW because I loved Yardbird so much and they are owned by the same company but it was entirely just so blah. We were seated right away and the ambiance is fun. It's a great place to go and sit at the bar and hang out with friends. Though their food. Eeks. Our server was nice but she lacked gusto. We asked what she recommended on the menu and she couldn't, it seemed she didn't know the menu well and didn't seem excited about any dishes. So we took it upon ourselves and ordered appetizers, tacos, the hotdog and a salad. It may be because I'm from California and Mexican food is everywhere and I've been eating it for years but the tacos we had at BTW were just so-so. The salad was fresh but it lacked personality if that makes sense? The guac was so sour from too much lemon juice and the pickles we had to return because it was just off. Thought the hotdog was good. We left so disappointed and hungry. It seemed that they really didn't put much though on the menu and focused more on the whiskey and bar. Sorry for the poor review. :(

For being a 50 Eggs restaurant, we were VERY disappointed with the food. The restaurant itself is very nice. Great outdoor casual vibe and we really enjoyed our cocktails at the bar. The bartender whipped up some off-menu Moscow Mules that were delish. We also had great service. Having said that, the food was mediocre, at best. With one exception- the honey hot chicken wings were fantastic. My friend and I ordered the tacos, and were unimpressed. The mahi mahi tacos were certainly the best of the batch, but the pulled pork taco was dry and flavorless, and she didn't enjoy the shrimp taco. My fiancé had the swine burger and he was equally unimpressed. The patty was comparable to a backyard grilled bubba burger, nothing special. Likewise, the pulled pork sandwich was nothing to write home about. Lastly, the side of corn was not tasty, at all. We all really wanted to like this place, but it simply isn't bringing it. I still love and stand by the other 50 Eggs establishments whole heartedly. But BTW needs more than just a change of menu (which apparently it just went through). It needs a complete overhaul of its kitchen and direction. I think the reviews on yelp speak for themselves.

What a let down and bummer! Love the guys from 50eggs, and feel they can do no wrong until we came here. Everything was pretty mediocre. First thing we did was ask for a whiskey list- which they don't have. We were told to walk to the bar and see the display to see what they had- we had no drinks. We had the nachos and tacos- all mediocre. Best thing about this place is the location and the price point.

I recently had the honor of attending a yelp event at BTW and I must say I really enjoyed this place. BTW is the type of place I would come to hungry after a hot day on SOBE. The drinks are well made and the food is awesome. Brought to us by creators of Yard Bird, Swine and Khong River House, BTW has the dishes that made those place Miami staples. Must have include the Chicken sandwich, the Swine burger the Duroc Pork Belly tacos. Thank you Yelp! For without you it might have taken me longer to discover this place.

BTW is supposed to be 50 eggs replacement of Lime on south beach. All I can say is I MISS LIME!! They now serve burgers and tacos/burritos. I say to them "try to figure out what you want to be." I had 3 different type of tacos. They cost 3-4 dollars each, but are no more than 2 bites each. They were all delicious and full of flavor. Presented nicely but portions are ridiculously small. Guess I will have to go to midtown to get my ol' standby Lime!!

This place rules. Stumbled upon it today, and came for dinner. Friend and I enjoyed: - Flats - Mani mahi taco - Pollo taco - Ginormous taco salad - Churro vanilla and Mexican chocolate ice cream - Oaxacan and spicy Serrano cocktails Food was fantastic, atmosphere and music great, yummy cocktails, sweet prices, friendly staff...to quote The Lego Movie, "Everything is awesome" at BTW. The place was crowded and the staff apologized for the "slow service," but it wasn't slow at all, and gave us more time to enjoy the awesome environment that BTW offers. Please come to NYC!

Amazing! The fries are heavenly and the burgers are delicious. Great attention and decoration. Handsome cooks. Nice music. It's a must.

I loved this place when it was Lime and was sad when they decided to change their format since this was the only original Lime left in the country (I was a sucker for their flautas). But, since the place is still run by the 50 Eggs people, I had a feeling the new restaurant was going to be a great concept, and I was definitely right. They added a bar to the former Lime location and renovated the location, with nice touches here and there. Most notable is a roof that was added to the outdoor patio along with misters to help beat the Summer heat. On my first trip to the restaurant after they first opened, waiter service was how they did things. However, it looks like they've changed the format (at least for lunch) and ask that you first order and pay at the counter (a la Lime) take a number, and then wait for them to bring the order to your table. Now onto the food. They've changed their menu a bit since they first opened up about a year ago, but so far everything I have tasted from their kitchen has been just what the doctor ordered when in the mood for comfort food. I recommend the Swine burger, the wings, and the nachos. While the food is tasty and great comfort food, I would not call it mind blowing. Just keep that in mind when you go here. Take it for what it is and do not have such high expectations and you will be satisfied with your meal. I think some people hype up the place too much before they get there and the food ends up disappointing them. Plus, the restaurant/bar brings a fun concept to the neighborhood that is great for dining with groups and watching the game on the flat-screens scattered throughout the location. A dinner for two usually comes out to about $35 without drinks.

Thanking BTW for a second chance and above all I must say that I am impressed as they did change their menu and care experimenting with guest feedback to optimize the concept. The food was delicious this time around and the service exceptional. I will still miss the original Lime Fresh but it's got a good competing business model now. Thank you John K and Diego E plus your extended team to not giving up and making the experience memorable!

I knew LIME was under construction but didn't know that they were completely revamping the restaurant. Walk in...(like I used to) and surprised that there's no line or place to order food. After a few minutes I find someone who tells me to just sit and I will be served. Menu is burgers tacos burritos now. I order a BLAT burger with fries , served fairly fast. Not anything special though. Fries came in a Chinese rice type of container. Burger was good. Like others reviewed...food was ok not anything to run home about. Pros: prices are affordable, variety and quick service. Cons: seating will be limited during busy hours, no structure for sitting people and serving people,

Delicious tacos and easy, casual atmosphere. We tried all of the tacos and there wasn't one i didn't like- the shrimp one wAs our favorite! Cocktails are really good too. Great place for drinks and apps after work! I recommend:)

50 eggs can do no wrong in my eyes...on a later than usual sunday night last min meal with the family, it did half right that night. the wait was a bit long for it is small, granted it was a bit new at the time we went, no where to really wait if the bar is packed, unless it's outside, don't expect healthy choices coming here, don't expect the fastest service, nor the friendliest, granted this is the beach, we ordered the nachos to start with, which we were explained it wasn't traditional nachos sans meat, however the nachos didn't come out until after our main courses, which included, 2burgers- BLAT x2 and one carne asada burritos, 2 tacos-pescado,carne asada , fish trumps beef on the tacos, plus a couple la rubias(beers , not my familys hair color haha) BTW is walking distance from my sisters place so we shall be back hopefully with no line no wait and different menu choices to explore and enjoy the glory that is 50 eggs

Really impressed with their food and service. I ordered a drink ended up not liking and they got me something new no charge. We had Nachos with chicken added. It was so flavorful. The chicken had a great grilled flavor but not too smoky. They were filling too. We are going back to get the tacos next. They all look amazing. Try the no label hot sauce on the table they bottle it themselves and it is crazy good. They should sell it!!

BTW is located where the old Lime was on Alton Road. They have done a nice job with changing and making the space their own. Liked the decor. Since it is such a tight space be prepared to wait for a table and also they may move you and your party around a few times. They moved our table twice and we saw them move or rearrange two other tables while we were there so that they could take advantage of one or two seats in an already cramped space. Now on to the really important stuff, the food. I ordered several tacos and the side of corn but really wasn't impressed. I wouldn't order it again. My boyfriend ordered one of the burgers and that was very good along with the fries. If we return I will only look at their burgers... On to the drinks, well while we were there I saw another table return a cocktail and I ordered the piña colada and that was terrible. I would stay away from their cocktails and go straight for their beers or whiskey. I gave them 3 stars because their burgers are worth the stop we made here.

OK...I went on April 2nd for another shot at BTW. BTW did not disappoint. They were spot on with everything. I met Chef Christian, who was GREAT! He was very friendly, welcoming and could not have been any nicer. After talking with him for awhile, I told him about my first experience. He was very apologetic. After the meal concluded, I made it a point to go up to him to thank him for a great experiance. Go....eat drink and be merry! It is certainly worth a try!

50 Eggs is the best. I love all their restaurants, and since I live around the corner from this new spot, I was super excited for it to open. The space is awesome--it opens to the outside, and there are a ton of diverse seating options. The seat yourself policy, however, is inane. I never understood why popular restaurants would do this. It's stressful to figure out where to sit, and if there aren't any open seats, there's no way to put yourself on a list. You have to hover! It's terrible. The other problem (evidenced by my visit), is that it's hard for the servers to keep up with everyone in their section. BTW isn't understaffed, it just has a bad seating system. I think, in time, this will change. What won't change is that the space is engineered to be VERY loud. It's all hard surfaces, and the sound bounces off like crazy. If you're into that sort of thing, it's great. If not, be warned. Onto the good stuff! This place is a phenomenal value. It's almost hard to believe the prices. Daily shot specials at $3, tallboys for $8, and most beers on draft are $5-7. Burgers are not expensive, and burritos are around $10. That's all really, really good. Service is slow, and the staff couldn't figure out a way to get the Heat game showing, so I didn't stay for a really long time, but I did have a delicious margarita ($11) and a great burrito. The fries were also solid, although I hate mayo, so that was a negative. Over the next few weeks, I think they'll iron out the kinks, and this place will be rocking. Even on a Monday, it was packed. All of that said, if you're just in the market for a solid, inexpensive taco/torta experience, you're better off at Bodega. But, if you want cheap booze to go with said food, BTW is far better. Bodega's drinks are overpriced.

OMG! We accidentally ate lunch here when doing our laundry next door. The Miami Smokers Bacon is the best I ever had on a salad! We loved it so much that we came back later that night for dinner. I hade the awesome Swine Burger that literally melted i my mouth! My husband had the Nachos of course with the awesome bacon again! We could eat here everyday, but unfortunately we travel home to Sweden soon.

Yum! Excited to try this place! BTW, a new burger, taco and whiskey joint being helmed by a Michelin-starred chef, open as of today in South Beach. Having the BLAT, Veggie Warrior, and Pollo tacos!

Decided to give this place a second chance, big mistake. The menu already was changed from a month ago. I Had the pork sandwich and the pork was cold and dry, and so was the bread. The potato wedges were scorching hot. My wife( who gets full with two saltine crackers) was still hungry after eating the smallest most expensive tacos of her life. Well at least some things are still the same and not necessarily for good, small portions at high prices and flat sodas.

Was a regular at the previous restaurant here and have been waiting for a chance to stop by the new place but just hadn't had a chance. Til today! Sooooo glad I did. Love the new decor. Love the style. Love the menu. Great service. Yummy tacos. I had shrimp, beef, and Mahi. All delicious. Will definitely become a regular here too! And may possibly be our Cinco de Mayo spot!!

Checked this location out last night for the first time. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. We sat at the bar and the bartender was not very welcoming and seemed to be very "off", (for lack of better words). My boyfriend asked for a whiskey menu (we were at a whiskey bar so it didn't occur to me that this was a strange question). Bartender gave a strange look and told us that they did not have a whiskey menu "because the whiskeys are on display, so that's pretty much the menu" (in a very sarcastic tone). She then informed us that if he had questions he could ask her...soooo he did....aaaand "Oh, I don't actually know that one" was her reply. After googling it, It turned out to be bourbon. The bartender then started making loud kiss sounds at a dog that was sitting in the next dining room and repeated over and over "what an ugly dog you are, you are so ugly...kiss, kiss, kiss". The kissing noises and the obnoxious yelling at the poor dog were highly annoying and I felt they were very inconsiderate. We had ordered a guacamole and chips and when the guacamole came out it was obviously pre-made, prepackaged stuff. Tasted like that guacamole you get at publix which is "eh" at best. The guacamole sort of made me wonder if the rest of the ingredients were prepackaged stuff and the bartender was ruining the entire experience. The guy holding the dog that the bartender was kissing at, turned out to be a friend of the bartender, and brought the dog over to the bar. The bartender gave the dog a quick pat on the head and laughed as the man let the dog drink beer from his beer glass. (I guess I'm glad that dogs mouths are said to be cleaner than humans, but I think this would be a huge no-no if there were a health inspector present. I am also not sure if she washed her hands after petting the dog because she walked off for a few minutes). After all of that, we decided this was just not where we felt like spending the rest of our evening. We asked for the check and after the bartender ran the credit card she handed it back to some other guy. (There were only 3 couples at the bar...and we literally had just given her the credit card ...not sure how she made that mistake). Maybe Ill go back again but not if that bartender is working. I don't know if I really gave it a fair shot and the atmosphere is pretty cool, but when you're trying to relax and have a good time, you don't want to be dining with dogs or have a rude, sarcastic bartender wait on you especially if you're paying $50+ for 2 drinks and a crappy guacamole.

Solid, good food. Tasty drinks. And super nice staff. The atmosphere at this little place is great. Very laid back and fun. The only complaint is that there is no AC so it is pretty hot in Miami summer. But on a nice day/night, this place would be perfect.

I have come here a million times with my fiancée and her uncle that lives nearby. I normally love the environment and the service!... Except today I had the worst experience. I came as part of a party of five and bragged about BTW and was embarrassed. First, they took my friend's card for chips and queso. As if she was going to skip on a five dollar check? Second, we waited for 15 minutes to ORDER. This, of course, doesn't consider the amount of time we waited to get our food. Meanwhile, the only two servers were taking orders at the seating counter. Sure enough, the folks that have not even gotten a table got their food before they even sat down while we had to chase down someone to order. When the food did come, my friend's burrito was falling apart and the food came all at different times. I am extremely disappointed that this once great place has gone down hill. I will no longer be returning and I encourage everyone TO STAY AWAY.

It was good nachos where on point!! Again I'm a Californian girl just looking for some good flava in Florida...tacos where ok I had the mahimahi shrimp and pulled pork I just thought they where small and full of garnish again that's why they didn't get 5 stars ....ohhhh and I was expecting for a really spicy hot sauce and didn't get it but maybe next time they will...concept it's kool!

The el pastor taco, the street corn "off" the cobb, and the carne asada nachos were amazing! The fries with the garlic aioli dipping sauce were perfectly seasoned. Oh, and the list of $3 shots is incredible. Note that it's not just the ones on the wall written in chalk, they also have them listed on the menu. This place is amazing and it's right around the corner from my place. New little neighborhood watering hole. Great food that doesn't break the bank and awesome drinks, it's a win win. Can't wait to try more of the menu!

I tried BTW when they first opened and I loved it. I got rock shrimp wings, fries, and a burger for under (20 I think it was). The ambience is great, servers were very attentive. Kind of a small place but it's cosy. This time around, I believe the burgers got a little pricier and I didn't see the rock shrimp wings (I may have missed it). I was very disappointed with their "corn off the cob" it was a small side of corn cooked some way for $6. Not that great. The weren't bad however. I'm not sure if the second time around would make me want to come back.

Went here for the first time last night. My boyfriend loves this place and told me I had to go here. We ordered the tacos which are so delicious, and surprisingly filling! Each one is packed full of flavor. The whiskey selection is humongous! I also liked their variety of cocktails. However, we just stuck to beer, and they have a small, but really good selection of draft beers. Loved the atmosphere of this place as well!

Great tacos, good service, good selection, cute ambiance-- will definitely be back!! We went on a taco crawl to try some of the new south beach taco places and we rated this one the best! The chicken and pulled pork tacos were both excellent.

I live 2 blocks away, and was never a big fan of the Lime restaurant that used to be located in this space. And since BTW is owned by the same owner as Lime, I did not expect much. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised when I tried BTW! I had a taco salad with shrimp, which was not served in one of those gross taco shell bowls. All the ingredients were super fresh, and the shrimp was nicely coated in spices. My friend had the same thing but with pork belly, and he was similarly impressed. They were also super nice to my dog (even though she sometimes got in the way of the servers). Our server was attentive and friendly. Will definitely be back.

Exceptionally bad service, food was overpriced and greasy. We ordered tacos but didn't realize they came with all the leftover grease from the burgers they make here. Won't be returning.

Not extremely happy with the delivery service. Never received guacamole. Tipped 10 extra upon arrival, called the store and they put me on hold... Twice. I finally hung up and never received a call back nor anyone delivering my missed food. Not overall impressed... Unfortunate as it seemed like such a great local spot and we order takeout a few times a week! Highlight... The chicken sandwhich was delic! Will try again, but probably not for takeout.

Initially we thought BTW had charm and a good vibe. We ordered drinks and an app, then my boyfriend went off to the bathrooms. There was one men's stall. He waited his turn, a waiter came out, said hello and then my BF went in. The toilet was overflown with feces and it was spewing over the floor. Literally. My BF ran back to the table and the same waiter who just was in the bathroom delivered our appetizer. We immediately spoke to the manager and left. She was nice enough to not charge us but we will never go back. It was disgusting.

I was so sad when Lime closed but BTW has more than made up for it. The Three Pigs burrito was PHEnomenal! The carnitas and al pastor was so delicious I made everyone at the table try some. My husband had the Chicago burger and devoured it before giving me a bite. The corn off the cob was the perfect amount of sweet, spicy and smokey with the Miami Smokers bacon and the touch of chilis. Oh and the fries with the garlic mayo! The mayo is like crack, just keep going back for more hahaha!

I'm a foodie and I had really high hopes for this place. I never write reviews specially bad ones but I feel like I have to let the ppl out there know that BTW in NO BUENO ... My girlfriend had a veggie burgers and it was flat out bad, it reminded me of leftover food from 3 day ago. I had a Little piggy burrito which wasn't that bad but still ways away from a good burrito. Last but not least the fries were sooooo salty and greasy and that made me ask for the check. They notices that the veggies burger was untouched and never ask why. I would never come back .. Ever... I sorry BTW but this was one of the worst experiences I've had with food ... The server was nice not her fault at all.

Sit down service for take out food. Nothing special. Why on earth would they take over Lime's space - a restaurant that had them lining out the door - and think they can improve on it? There's a reason the place is empty.

I highly recommend this restaurant. It's one of my favorite places to go eat. The food is delicious and the staff is great. A cool and relax restaurant to enjoy your night, eat great BBQ food and burgers and tacos. The Honey Hot Wings are incredibly delicious (a must try) and the burgers are perfect. I came here twice this week, so should you!

This is an update to my previous review of our 1st experience at BTW (which wasn't very good). I received an email from John, the owner, inviting us back for a meal on the house. Great business practice to do that, and it was very appreciated! My boyfriend and I came in last night and had a wonderful time. I communicated earlier in the day with Diego, the GM, via email to let him know we'd be coming for dinner. Very polite and accompanying and sincerely felt like he wanted us to have a better experience, assuring me he would take care of us. We showed up, and although Diego was not there Derek (Derrick sp?) another manager, did everything to ensure we had an awesome time. So, BTW has changed their menu... The items we had the first time around were either deleted or re-vamped. We had the honey chicken wings (well done per our request) which were DELICIOUS!!!!!! Also had the following Tacos: Shrimp, pork belly & Mahi. The Shrimp tacos are soooooooo good!! The best out of the 3. They switched up the Al Pastor and it's yummy.. Like a crispy chicharron. Mahi was excellent, you can get it grilled or fried.. It also had a delish cucumber taste to it that we really enjoyed. I'm impressed by the follow up from Management to bring us back for another try and also with their new menu. Thank you, BTW for keeping it classy, professional and delicious. We will be back very soon! :)

It's ok. I really liked Lime so technically I am comparing the two. the tacos are good. Small and tasty but I miss the salsa bar that Lime had to go with them. The burger was really good but also small for the price since it doesn't come with any side dish. The elotes (corn) appetizer was ok but a little lacking in flavor. The charred serranos were great. The service was lovely But my biggest problem was with the btw margarita It tasted good but it was literally the amount of a shot poured over three HUGE ice cubes HARDLY worth the price I would probably come here again for lunch but for dinner and drinks or a date, me thinks not..

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Burgers

Burger or Hamburger is savored as the most desired fast food meal in the United States. A hamburger is basically a sandwich prepared by stuffing ground meat patty, generally beef, between two slices of a bun cut in half. Hamburger is also famous for its seasoning.
